About the photograph
This image was part of a fashion editorial for the magazine Dazed & Confused. I was invited to photograph the 80th anniversary of Chanel’s Haute Joaillerie Collection.
The shoot was on July 14, a holiday in France. I was pretty nervous because I was working with the magazine’s fashion director. I was also puzzled as to why I was asked, my photography isn’t exactly what’s expected for jewelry.
In the end, it worked out and since then I’ve been asked to do three more jewelry shoots. Incidentally, the entire time the texture of the dress reminded me of quinoa.
